Executive Chef Logan McGear attended Le Cordon Bleu Academy in Hot Springs, AR and trained under Chef Ken Lumpkin at the Exchange Restaurant learning the art of Asian Fusion cuisine. He also worked under Chef Paul at Chef Paul's in Hot Springs and Chef Rosario Patti at Vesuvio in Little Rock, AR. He was the Sous Chef at Pompeii Cafe & Wine Bar in Hot Springs, AR and most recently was Sous Chef at The Buffalo Grill.
Logan's specialty is Classic Cuisine with his own twist. He loves to experiment with flavor combinations creating dishes that customers may not expect but will love. Guests at The Buffalo Grill agree that he creates "comfort food you'll crave." A recent guest at The Buffalo Grill said that Logan created the best meal he had ever had in the State of Kansas. High acclaim from someone who travels the state on business.
Restaurant Manager/Bartender Jeh Hunter has tended bar from the Navy Pier in Chicago to The Bourbon House in New Orleans to Sam's Pub in Tucson to Pompeii in Hot Springs. Jeh has a degree in Sociology from The University of Arizona. His special interests involve community building and issues related to social justice. Jeh spent several years in New Orleans helping with the rebuilding effort after Hurricane Katrina. As an avid cyclist, Jeh is working to encourage biking as both recreation and as a form of transportation.
In 2008, the Stout Building was renovated and restored to its early century grandeur. The newly renovated Stout Building retains its historic character with the original brick walls and columns. Schoolhouse style lights and simple Hunter fans add to the historic look of the building. Fifty-four windows on the east and south facades of the 2nd floor are exact replicas of the original windows. The first floor of the building is being constructed to have space for a restaurant on the south side (see below) and retail/office space on the north side. New storefront windows along the east and south sides of the arched arcade were designed based upon an early photograph of the building.
