The River Room & The Buffalo Grill will host the Fort Scott Community Gala on Saturday, August 28, 2010. This is the only time during the year that we close the restaurant to the public so please mark your calendars. The 2nd Annual Community Gala has chosen to donate the proceeds from this year's Gala to the Fort Scott Area Community Foundation (FSACF). The FSACF is participating in a matching funds initiative with the Kansas Health Foundation that will provide a 50% match for all unrestricted gifts to create an endowed trust that will benefit Fort Scott for many years to come. Jennifer Lovalenti is the new Event Manager for The River Room. Jen has a great deal of experience as a Food & Beverage Manager having served in that capacity at the Radisson Hotel in Toleda, OH, Teton Mountain Lodge & Spa, Jackson, WY, and Holiday Inn, Joplin, MO.
